Similar to tatting, but using a needle instead of a tatting shuttle. The advantage to needle tatting is you can use a variety of fibers. Each needle is sized for various fibers. Use the8 extra fine for size 80, 70, 60, and 50 thread. Use7 fine for crochet cotton sizes 50, 40, 30, and 20, and pearl cotton sizes 12 and 8. Use5-0 for crochet cotton size 20 and 10, and pearl cotton size 5. Use3-0 for pearl cotton size 3 and smaller sport/baby weight yarns.
