Delictase Lactase Enzyme Oral Drops 15ml

Delictase Oral Drops is a food supplement of lactase enzyme. A deficiency in lactase (hypolactasia) results in the inability to fully digest lactose. Colonic microflora ferment undigested lactose in the intestinal lumen, which leads to production of short-chain fatty acids, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, and methane. These byproducts cause bloating, flatulence, and abdominal pain. Undigested lactose acidifies the colon and increases the osmotic load, resulting in loose stools and diarrhea. The Oral Drops is a 15 ml solution that comes in a bottle for infants, to be used with breast milk and infant formula. Delictase reduces the lactose content in the milk, breaking down lactose into two simple sugars (glucose and galactose), which can then be easily digested and absorbed by the intestine.
