Accu-chek Active Control Solution is used to test the accuracy of your meter and test strips. Applied to a test strip, control solution confirms that the meter's test results are in the expected range printed on the test strip vial. Control solution tests should be performed at least once a week, every time a new vial of test strips is opened, and whenever you suspect the meter or test strips may not be functioning properly.

How To Use:
For performing a control test you need the meter, a test strip, and control solution Control 1 or Control 2Check that the code number is the same as the code number on the label of the test strip containerInsert the test strip into the meter in the direction of the arrowsPlace the meter on a flat surfaceSelect the control solution to test. You will enter the level later in the testRemove the cap from the control solution bottleWipe the tip of the bottle with a tissueSqueeze the bottle until a tiny drop forms at the tipWhen you see flash, there is enough control solution in the test stripWipe the tip of the bottle with a tissue. Cap the bottle tightlyTouch the drop to the front edge of the yellow window of the test strip until you see flashDo not put control solution on top of the test stripRefer to the package insert that comes with the control solution or see the User's Manual for your meter for instructions
