Cooking Instruction. <br/>Measures: 1 cup Mehran Rice, 2 Cups of Water, 1 Table spoon Oil, 1 Pinch of salt or as Per taste, Soak the rice in water for about 30 minutes. Cooking Method: Saucepan: Rinse measured rice 1-2 times. Place drained rice into a saucepan and add measured water, oil and salt. Place saucepan uncovered over high heat and bring to boil, stir occasionally. Let water reduce slightly below the rice level and then lower the heat. Place a tight lid on the saucepan and simmer for 5-6 minutes. Electric Rice Cooker: Place the drained rice in the cooker. Add measured water, oil and salt. Cover the cooker, turn it on and cook for 8-10 minutes. Microwave: Place measured rinsed rice and oil in microwaveable casserole. Add 2 cups of water for each cup of rice and cover. Microwave on high for 4-5 minutes. Stir cover and microwave on defrost for 4-5 minutes. Fluff with fork before serving. Do not cook more than 2 cups at a time. Please note: For best results cook 300gms (12Oz) of rice at time. In future cooking, use more water if rice was too hard in the first cooking and use less water if it was too soft.
