Rofenac D dispersible tablets contains an active ingredient of 50mg diclofenac free acid which belongs to Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). They have anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic and analgesic property which helps to reduce pain and inflammation in conditions affecting the joints, muscles and tendons including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, acute gout (painful inflammation of the joints especially in the feet and hands), ankylosing spondylitis (form of spinal arthritis), Backache, sprains and strains, soft tissue sports injuries, frozen shoulder, dislocations and fractures, conditions affecting the tendons for example, tendonitis, tenosynovitis, bursitis. Diclofenac is an inhibitor of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), which is responsible for prostaglandin synthesis, an integral part of the pain and inflammation pathway. Rofenac D tablets are formulated as dispersible tablets that easily disintegrate in water or other liquid. Rofenac D 50mg tablets are also used to treat pain and inflammation associated with dental and minor surgery.
