The PS4 Slim is a deja vu game console: great for gamers on a budget, not quite as good as the PS4 Pro and skippable for any existing PlayStation 4 owner.

Although the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch continue to grow more appealing by the day, the PS4 is still the best overall games console, thanks to its stellar library, robust feature set and VR support.

The PS4 Slim takes everything people loved about the original PlayStation 4 system and makes it better. Sony has played safe with the Slim, but that is no bad thing, as it was a top piece of hardware with an excellent games library to begin with.

The slimmer, redesigned PlayStation 4 Slim has all of the features of the original, with a lower price and twice the storage capacity.
