InterMed Chlorhexil Extra Mouthwash Solution contains Chlorhexidine 0.20%, triclosan 0.1% & CPC 0.05% designed for the active control and elimination of microorganisms in oropharyngeal cavity, effectively combating plaque and immediate relief and protection of the oral cavity from irritation and inflammation especially in cases of periodontal disease (periodontitis), pharyngitis, tonsillitis etc. With dental treatments, chlorhexidine helps to prevent the build-up of plaque for up to 12 hours by forming a protective coating over your gums and teeth. Triclosan has antibacterial property that helps to prevent or stop bacterial growth and contamination. CPC (Cetylpyridinium chloride) helps to reduce plaque-induced gum inflammation. This helps to prevent or treat mouth infections and gum disease. It also helps to ease your symptoms if you have a mouth ulcer or sore throat. Chlorhexidine prevents the sticking of bacteria to the teeth and oral mucosa and causes damage to bacteria by increasing the permeability of bacterial cell walls and changing osmotic balance.
