Indigo Powder Hair Dye, Natural Black Henna Hair Colour Without Chemicals, Ppd-Free Beard Dye 100G
Davis Finest Indigo Powder is organically grown on certified organic fields in Rajasthan, India. Indigo is a natural true blue dye used to also dye fabrics and blue jeans as well as colouring hair. Indigo like henna is a 100 percent natural plant-based chemical free dye safe to use on all hair types. In combination with henna a range of natural brown and black hair colours can be achieved depending on existing hair colour to start with, proportion of indigo to henna and length of time allowed to stay on hair. Henna will soften hair whilst indigo will thicken giving natural volume to hair. Always use Indigo and henna together if hair is white or gray and the desired outcome is to be brown or black, otherwise, Indigo applied to light colour hair is likely to leave hair a blue-green colour but will enhance dark/black hair colour.
There is no need for dye release and Indigo should be used as soon as it made up as it does not keep its dyeing powers although it can be left to stand a little but no longer than 15 mins you will see it starting to oxidize with a blue black film on top and its ready to use.
Unlike henna indigo powder cannot be frozen so any remainder should be thrown away but better still, use it all up in your hair by applying thickly or just mix what is needed, you can always mix some more quickly if needs be. Indigo powder should be mixed to a smooth soft peak consistency (not thick but not runny) otherwise it can be clumpy and difficult to handle but amla powder can be added to indigo to soften and condition but do not overpower indigo with amla as it can lose its dyeing capabilities. Always make sure indigo powder amount is greater i.e. 3-5 tbsp amla to 100g indigo. Always condition hair after using Indigo as it can leave hair feeling dry and brittle especially if not using amla powder in the mix.
