The T has been dropped from the product name to just shorten the name. The Spirit Box still has the ATDD (automatic temperature deviation detectionwhich the T stood for. ATDD is an alert that goes off when the temp changes by/ 5F. All the other functions are there as well. New is that the Rev 7 has a half frequency step between each frequency which allows for more and clearer communication to come through. Also an extra fast sweep rate of 50ms has been added. As before it scans from 76 mHz to 87. 9 mHz which is a wider range than other similar devices. You can choose between FM and AM It uses 3 AAA batteries which are included.
