Description
Prepare the Machine:
Place the coffee maker on a clean, stable surface near a power outlet.
Fill the Water Reservoir:
Lift or open the water reservoir lid and fill it with the desired amount of cold, clean water. Be sure not to exceed the maximum water level indicated.
Add Coffee Grounds:
Open the coffee filter compartment and insert a paper or reusable filter. Add the appropriate amount of coffee grounds based on your preferred strength. Refer to the machine's guidelines for the recommended coffee-to-water ratio.
Close the Coffee Filter Compartment:
Ensure that the coffee filter compartment is securely closed.
Power On:
Turn on the coffee maker by using the power button or switch. Some machines may have an indicator light to show that it's powered on.
Select Brewing Options:
If your coffee maker has settings for brew strength or size, make the necessary selections. These options could include regular or bold strength and the number of cups you want to brew.
Start Brewing:
Press the "Brew" or equivalent button to start the brewing process. The machine will heat the water and start dispensing it over the coffee grounds.
Monitor the Brewing Process:
Keep an eye on the coffee maker as it brews. You may see water dripping or pouring over the coffee grounds through a transparent window.
Pause Feature (if available):
Some machines have a pause feature that allows you to temporarily stop the brewing process to pour a cup of coffee before it's complete.
Wait for Completion:
Allow the coffee maker to complete the brewing cycle. This may take a few minutes, depending on the machine's capacity and brewing speed.
Keep Warm Function:
If your coffee maker has a keep-warm function, it will automatically maintain the brewed coffee at a drinkable temperature for a specified period.
Auto Shut-Off (if available):
Many coffee makers have an auto shut-off feature, turning off the machine after a certain period of inactivity for safety and energy conservation.
Pour and Enjoy:
Once the brewing is complete, carefully open the coffee maker, grab your favorite mug, and pour yourself a delicious cup of freshly brewed coffee.
Clean Up:
After use, turn off the coffee maker, discard the used coffee grounds, and rinse or wash the filter and other removable parts. Regular cleaning helps maintain the machine's performance.
