AWAFI MILL Sandalwood Sticks are split pieces of aromatic wood from Santalum album, commonly known as Chandan, White Sandalwood or Indian Sandalwood.
When gently heated, the wood releases sandalwood’s characteristic soft, warm and woody fragrance, supported by creamy sweetness, light balsamic depth and subtle earthy undertones. Sandalwood is generally smoother and less smoky in character than many dark resins and heavy incense woods. Its recognised fragrance is associated with the aromatic heartwood and its naturally occurring santalol compounds.
The product consists of naturally irregular wood sticks and splinters rather than rolled incense. Individual pieces may differ in length, width, colour, grain, thickness and aroma intensity.
Sandalwood Sticks are best warmed over prepared incense charcoal or in a suitable electric incense burner. They may be used alone or combined with frankincense, myrrh, agarwood or benzoin to create layered loose-incense blends.
Suitable for home fragrance, prayer rooms, meditation areas, yoga spaces, entrances, reception areas and traditional incense arrangements.
