The stackable L3 Gigabit Ethernet switch is designed to meet the needs of corporate networks. The switch offers 24 Gigabit SFP slots and six embedded 10G ports. The two 10GBase-T RJ-45 metal ports and the four 1G/10G SFP + two-port ports allow flexible selection of HW stacking, uplink, or server connections. Redundancy of the power supply of the switch can be ensured by an optional external DPS-500A psu.

The basic version of the DGS-3130 Series Switch Software includes an advanced set of L2 features as well as L3 features such as 16 IP Interfaces, IPv4/IPv6 static routing, RIP v1/v2 dynamic routing, RIPng, and VRRP for redundancy. Switches DGS-3130 offers comprehensive management capabilities through web interface, standardized CLI commands via serial console or Telnet or SNMP commands. D-Link Network Assistant (DNA) or D-View7 (DV-700) NMP platforms are used for central management.

DGS-3130 Series switches support HW stacking for simple management, flexibility and network redundancy. Up to 9 switches can be connected to the stack, stacking up to 80Gb/s (4x 10G ports in Full Duplex). At stacking, stacking cost of all stack switches must not exceed 12, when each 30-port model (30TS, 30PS, 30S) has a Stacking Cost = 1 and each 54-port model (54TS, 54PS, 54S) has a Stacking Cost = 2. There may be up to nine 30-port models (Stacking Cost = 9x1 = 9), but up to only six 54-port models (Stacking Cost = 6x2 = 12) eg 5x 54-port model and 2x 30-port model (ie Stacking Cost = 5x2 + 2x1 = 12).
