A fair price and super-flexible zoom range makes the SX740 one of the better compact cameras for holidays and days out.

The Canon PowerShot SX740 HS falls firmly into the "modest upgrade" category of camera releases, principally adding just two new features to a design that hasn't really changed very much during the last few years.
