- PATTEX CONTACT ADHESIVE UNIVERSAL is a multi-purpose contact adhesive. It is a single component, polychloroprene based, high strength and universal contact adhesive. Ideal for carpet applications, Application Fields: It is used for wood and decorative laminates, rubber, leather, cork, felt, rigid PVC, soft foams, bonding veneer strip to edges and curves, fixing of sound-proofing, insulating and acoustic panels and tiles (with the exception of expanded polystyrene) on to dry, stable surfaces, sealing edges to protect from moisture and weather conditions, on solid and plywood, and for fitting sealing strips. It is not suitable for expanded polystyrene, polyethylene, polypropylene and PTFE (Teflon).
