Ja-Ru was founded in 1961 by Bernard (Bernie) Selevan, who started the company in his garage. Bernie named the company after his two sons, Jack and Russell, who later entered the business in 1969 and 1975, respectively. Jack and Russell along with Jack’s two sons, Marc and Andrew oversee the business. Recently, Russell’s daughter, Hope joined Ja-Ru. Marc, Andrew and Hope are part of the third generation, and are poised to do their part to move the company forward with the same vision and passion imparted by the founder Bernie, and his sons, Jack and Russell.
