What payment methods are accepted for CarrefourUAE.com?
You can pay for your order through most major credit cards (Visa and MasterCard) as well as Cash on Delivery.
I have cancelled my order after placing it but have received an SMS from my bank for being charged. When will you refund me and what should I do?
Not to worry, it’s okay to change your mind! In this case, Carrefour has not charged you for your order. Your bank however, has reserved the amount upon your completion of the order. We only charge your card once your order leaves our warhouse therefore, the amount that has been reserved by your bank will be reversed to your account within 15 – 30 days depending on your banks terms and conditions.
My order had out of stock items and you charged me for the full order amount. I want my money back!
If that happened to us, we’d be frustrated too! Not to worry though, we only charged you for the total amount of your order that has left our warehouse. In any credit card transaction, there is a reserve and a charge. Your bank will usually message you with the reserve amount immediately, which they keep aside until we charge you. We would only charge you for the total price of the products being delivered once they leave our warehouse. Please allow a 5 – 10 working days for this to reflect on your bank statement. I received two messages from my bank that I was charged twice! How do I get my money back?
You may receive a message from your bank two times depending on your preferred banking partner. The first time you receive the message is when the bank reserves the total order amount, although Carrefour has not charged you for your order. The second message you receive is the actual charge amount that Carrefour has charged your card after your order has left our warehouses. The amount of both of these numbers within each message may differ as the initial message will be for your full order value vs. second message will be for the actual order amount in the case that there were any out of stock items. For example, you order products worth 120 AED and receive a message from your bank. One of the products worth 15 AED is out of stock, you will only be charged 105 AED once your order leaves our warehouse.
