Mehran Pullao Biryani Masala 50g

In 1-2 glasses of water add chicken, ginger and garlic paste, 1 peeled whole onion and mehran pullao biryani masala (In case of Beef/Mutton add 3-4 glasses of water). Cover and cook on low heat until meat becomes tender, when 1 cup of stock remains, discard onion. Add yogurt and ginger julienne, cook for 3-4 minutes and keep aside. In another pan heat oil/ghee, fry remaining onion till it turns golden. In a separate pan add 9-10 glasses of water and 1 1/2 - 2 tbsp salt and boil. Then add soaked mehran basmati rice, when rice is cooked more than half remove from heat and strain. Add milk in rice and mix well. Now spread prepared masala on rice in two layers. On top sprinkle colour and fried onion with oil, cover and cook on low heat. When rice is done, mix well and serve.Preparation time: 50 mins for chicken, 1-2 hrs for beef/mutton. Serve for 5-6 persons.
