Cooking Guidelines
Cooking directions: simply dissolve 1 tap (2. 4g) mama sitar's annatto powder in 1 tbsp. (15ml) water before adding to the dish being cooked. To make achuete/achlote oil: dissolve 1 tbsp. (7g) annatto powder in 1 tbsp. (15ml) cooking oil. To lighten the color add more oil as necessary. This packet is equivalent to 1 cup (155g) annatto seeds or 1 bottle (8 fl oz./240ml) liquid achuete.
