Cooking Guidelines
Measure: 1 cup Mehran Rice, 2 cup water, 1 tbs Oil, 1 Pinch of salt or as per taste. Soak the rice in water for about 30 minutes. Sauce Pan: Rince measure rice 1 to 2 times. Place drained rice into a saucepan and add measured water, oil and salt. Place saucepan uncovered over high heat and bring to boil, stir occasionally. let water reduce slightly below the rice level and then lower the heat. Place a tight lid on the saucepan and simmer for 5-6 minutes. Electric rice cooker: Place the drained rice in the cooker. Add measured water, oil & salt. Cover the cooker, turn it on and cook for 8-10 minutes. Microwave: Place measured rinsed rice and oil, in microwaveable casserole. Add 2 cups of water for each cup of rice and cover. Microwave for high for 4-5 minutes. Stir cover and Microwave on defrost for 4-5 minutes. Fluff with fork before serving. Do not cook more than 2 cups at a time.
