Tamron Lens SP 35mm F/1.8 For Canon
By utilizing sophisticated glass materials, the new SP effectively eliminates aberrations of all kinds. This lens achieves crisp image with exceptional and well-defined detail at any aperture including F/1.8.
Innovative touch of a VC (Vibration Compensation) system utilized in a lens with 35mm focal length and fast F/1.8 aperture in full-frame sensor format
MOD (Minimum Object Distance) of 0.2 m, the shortest in its class*, coupled with brilliant, well-defined detail resolution at very close distances
eBAND coating that minimizes ghosting and flare without fail
Fast and reliable AF with Tamron’s proprietary USD (Ultrasonic Silent Drive) actuator ---Fluorine coating that provides superior water and oil repellant properties External design with a “human touch” making use of many organic curves
SP 35mm F/1.8 Di VC USD (Model F012) is a 10-element, 9-group construction, which includes two molded glass aspherical lens elements, one LD (Low Dispersion) lens element, and one XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion) element.
Use of the two molded glass aspherical elements corrects the field curvature to ensure planarity of the image plane, while efficiently compensating for spherical and comatic aberrations to achieve superb uniformity across the field, and improve imaging performance with high-fidelity point spread reproducibility.
Outstanding resolution is achieved from corner to corner. Especially when photographing a night scene, the sagittal comatic flare, which is a type of aberration where a point-source light image does not form an image as a point and becomes blurry at the corners and on the periphery of the frame, is corrected.
Use of the LD element and the XLD element, with its even higher compensation effects, optimally corrects chromatic aberrations, which tend to become particularly prominent in fast-aperture lenses in general, and deliver crystal clear images without any residual color fringe
